CHEF'S HOLIDAYS....

The catering for the club is provided by Alan Marriner - A&P Catering Ltd. Alan is now into his fifth year of working at Ponteland Golf Club and enjoys the reputation of providing an excellent service to both members and guests alike. The club is now known locally as a first class dining venue and indeed the best in Northumberland!

 

The restaurant is a comfortable setting for enjoying a meal either in small or large groups and, if required, can accommodate up to 80 guests. There is a lounge and cocktail bar adjacent to the restaurant for diners to relax before and after a meal. The restaurant is available throughout the day for casual meals and is also used extensively for the many formal Club functions during the year. It can also be made available for private functions, e.g. anniversaries, weddings, birthdays etc.

 

It should be noted that private functions whilst warmly welcomed must comply with the club's current licences and must be approved by the club's secretary. Where the restaurant is required by visiting parties of more than 10, who are not using one of the special offers (see golf day packages), at least 24 hours notice should be given to Alan for any particular catering requirements.

  • Our bar menu, which is available daily Monday - Saturdays varies from hot breakfast baps, to cold sandwiches and paninis. We also serve light snacks, various jacket potatoes, omelettes and toasties. We believe that there is something to suit everyone and if not we will cook it for you! As well as having our bar menu available we also have a special board which is changed 4/5 times weekly. This consists of starters and desserts (starting at £2.20) and main meals such as steak pie (the golfer's favourite!), chicken valdestane, grilled salmon steak, home-cooked ham platter etc which start from £5.95.
  • Our Special Á la Carte menu (Page1) (Page2), On Friday and Saturday evenings in the winter, and on Saturday evenings in the summer when no other club or private function is taking place, we have an exclusive Á la Carte menu which we believe to be a very high standard menu with lots of variety in food kept at extremely low reasonable prices.   • Our Sunday Lunch menus, A traditional roast dinner is available every sunday . We have various set menus for Sunday and there is always a good choice.
